Research Assistant in Global Mental Health

The Research Assistant in Global Mental Health, a research position within the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, will support KCL input into the AMARI project. AMARI (African Mental HeAlth Research Initiative) will select mental health research fellows in Ethiopia, Malawi, South Africa and Zimbabwe from a range of disciplines at Masters, PhD and post-doctoral levels and train them in research excellence.

The post holder will assist Dr Abas by coordinating a range of projects in GMH, both research and Implementation studies, especially in the areas of interventions for depression and the interface between HIV and mental health. The post-holder will also be required to become acquainted with AMARI and with several key projects with links to AMARI, such as clinical trials and health service implementation, and with key partners, so that the post-holder will be able to synthesise and disseminate activities, answer enquiries, and liaise with partners. The post-holder will help with literature reviews, grant bids and doing ethics applications.

Interviews are scheduled to be on 12th September 2017. The salary will be paid at Grade 5, £27,629 to £32,004 per annum, plus £2,923 per annum London Allowance. This post will be Fixed Term Contract for 1 year.

Post Doctoral Researcher

We are seeking a talented, energetic and highly motivated individual to develop a research programme on the environmental influences on brain development and behaviour, with a particular emphasis on the effects of urbanization.

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Worker position to join the Centre for Population Neuroscience and Stratified Medicine (PONS) (Director: Professor Gunter Schumann) at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at King’s College London. 

This post will be Fixed Term Contract for 18 months, and there is the potential for further opportunities for research in the future.  Salary is £32,958 -£39,324 per annum, plus £2,326 London Weighting.
