Tessa studied Psychology and Philosophy at the University of Oxford and holds an MSc in Global Mental Health from King's College London. She is currently completing a PhD at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, where she is examining treatment-seeking in the context of the PRIME programme in Madhya Pradesh, India.

Tessa has previously worked with the Mental Health Innovation Network, Care-If and Mental Health at Work (previously Maudsley Learning) and has held project management roles for non-profit initiatives in Mexico and in London.

In January 2018 she will join the INTREPID team at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, investigating cross-cultural variations in the incidence, presentation and outcomes of psychosis.
