Research Fellow

Originally from Pakistan, I was a research associate on a community-based mental health project that used mhealth technology to screen and monitor treatment outcomes for depression and anxiety within urban populations in Karachi (Pakistan). As part of the same project I was also involved in integrating mental health services with the treatment of co-morbid chronic conditions (such as Tuberculosis and Diabetes) in Karachi’s public healthcare settings.

After completing my MSc in Global Mental Health ('17) I am now working as Knowledge Exchange Officer and Platform Coordinator at the Mental Health Innovation Network (MHIN) where I am responsible for coordinating the multiple functions of the Network including (but not limited to) the development and commissioning of web content and knowledge exchange products and providing ongoing support to MHIN's regional hubs.

My interests include: mhealth technologies for mental health, implementation science and community-based mental health programmes (LMICs).
