The ultimate aim of SHARE is to establish a collaborative network of institutions in South Asia to carry out and to utilize research that answers policy relevant questions related to reducing the treatment gap for mental disorders in the region.

This will involve the establishment of 2 administrative Hubs, 1 in Pakistan and 1 in India, and capacity building and advocacy components.  There will also be a program of work evaluating a peer-led intervention for maternal depression in randomised controlled trials in India and Pakistan.
