Direct cash payments to vulnerable young people in Low- and Middle-Income Countries could help mental health during COVID-19 pandemic

The CHANCES project has published an important position paper in The Lancet Psychiatry calling for social protection measures, and particularly cash transfer programmes, to expand and help alleviate the longer-term consequences of the crisis for youth mental health and their future life chances as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
