Research Associate in Global Mental Health, King's College London

The Health Service & Population Research Department invite applications from enthusiastic and experienced individuals to join the Global Mental Health research group as a Research Assistant in Global Mental Health.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with Professor Ricardo Araya to support two research projects which he leads; ‘Cluster randomised controlled trial (RCT) for late life depression in socioeconomically deprived areas of São Paulo, Brazil (PROACTIVE)’ and ‘Optimising implementation strategies of the scale-up of a primary care psychological intervention: The Friendship Bench (FB) in Zimbabwe’.   

The post holder will work closely with Professor Araya and will be responsible for overall coordination of the projects, contribute to collating and analysing material and data generated by the programme, support and liaise with each centre to ensure planned activities are conducted in line with the programme timetables, and assist with other global mental health projects led by Professor Araya when necessary.

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 30 months.

This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent

The selection process will include a panel interview

The salary will be paid at Grade 6, £37,412 to £38,434 per annum, inclusive of £3,223 per annum London Allowance.
